Information Product onboarding
Information Products are processes that are aimed to enhance Data Cube content with additional layers derived from the original data loaded in Data Cubes. Information Products are expected to be onboarded as ‘Data Cube Processes.’ The process includes a set of original layers and typically an equation that creates the new information based on the original layers with the toolset of raster algebra. The process of creating new Information Products can also include additional data that is not included in the Data Caube and is proprietary to the process.
Data Cube Processes are becoming part of the initialization and daily update procedure of the Dynamic Data Cube services. Hence, layers created by Data Cube Processes are no different from the original data layers from a user perspective.
Data Cube Processes are owned and maintained by their authors and can be subject to independent pricing and subscriptions.
